Most routine test results are available within 24 hours. Cultures and specialist tests may take 48–72 hours.

Glucose and lipid tests
Some glucose and lipid tests require 8–12 hours of fasting, with water allowed. Confirm the instructions for your specific test before visiting; not every glucose test requires fasting.
Cultures and microbiology
Samples are preferably collected before starting antibiotics or in coordination with your doctor. Do not stop prescribed medication without your doctor's advice.
General tests
Many general tests do not require fasting and can be taken at any time. Contact us to confirm preparation for your particular test list.
